Friend planning a barefoot in jeans wedding out in a field? Make it special with the wedding in a basket - everything needed to make it a "real" wedding - veil for the bride, rice to throw, guestbook, garter, bouquet of flowers,  and topper for the cake. 

BRIDAL SHOWER GIFT BASKET

A lovely poem about marriage tied with a ribbon along with a book about easy cooking, two tall scented candles, a diary with fancy pen - so the bride can write down her wedding day experience, a book about babies (for a gag), condoms (for a gag), silk teddy or lingery, register both bride and groom in a cooking class, "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus" book, wine or de-alcohol wine, tall wine glasses, strawberries dipped in chocolate or other gourmet foo

DINNER AND A MOVIE GIFT BASKET

This would be a nice gift for any couple.  Fill a basket with a box of pasta (this looks really nice if you buy the colorful pasta and put it in a mason jar, put a small piece of material over the top with a ribbon on the lid), jar of sauce, a jar of shaker cheese, could also include a clove of garlic or a shaker of Italian seasoning, a pasta spoon or wooden spoon with a ribbon tied on the handle, a pair of candles for romantic lighting, two cupcakes or a bag of gourmet cookies, and a gift certificate from the local movie rental place.

Fill a basket with: list of babysitters or coupons for babysitting, restaurant guide and/or gift certificates, movie reviews and/or tickets or, tickets to a show or a concert, cab fare, lighted key chain.

A bottle of wine, some cheese, a rose ?  Here's the perfect Lover's gift!  Bubblebath, scented candles, chocolate and more.
